Dermal Fillers are smooth clear injectable gel that can be used to replace or enhance skin volume.
WHAT IS DERMAL FILLER?
As people age, the shape and contour of the face changes, facial volume is gradually lost and skin becomes thinner making the effects of gravity more apparent. Fillers work on these areas of the face in a different way to anti-wrinkle injectables by plumping and filling areas of the face. Treatment can include lips, temples, cheeks, and chins. As part of the consultation with one of our Registered Nurses areas of concern are identified and available treatment options discussed.
Fillers are an excellent tool for fighting and slowing the ageing process as well as enhancing appearance. We use only TGA-approved fillers that have a proven safety record. Our specialist Plastic Surgeons have intimate knowledge of facial muscle groups and can accurately determine the placement and quantity of injections needed to achieve the desired result. At Plastic Surgery Queensland our Plastic Surgeons liaise closely with our cosmetic nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Within the industry you will see this cost vary greatly. We do not talk in unit prices because your highly qualified cosmetic nurse will determine the best outcome based on personal needs. The cost of anti-wrinkle injectables starts from $200.
Our non-surgical procedures are performed by an accredited cosmetic nurse under the supervision of our surgeons. We recommend taking care to investigate the accreditations of cosmetic nurses performing non-surgical treatments when choosing where to book in. There are many low cost options both in Australia and overseas, but not all of them have the same high-level of accreditation.
All patients seeking a cosmetic injectable must have a consultation with our cosmetic nurses prior to consenting to the procedure, this can either be in-person or by video. In this consultation we will discuss your the results you’re trying to achieve and your reasons for seeking this procedure. Please note that our nurses and practitioners are required by regulations to refuse to consent to a procedure if they believe it is not in the best interests of the patient.
If you are under the age of 18 years, please contact us directly to discuss your consultation process as it will differ to the process for adult patients.
Anti-wrinkle injections require little to no downtime post-procedure, however some patients who are prone to bruising may experience a small amount of bruising at the site of the injections.
Anti-wrinkle injections take 14 days for the full result to be seen. We offer a complimentary review appointment 14 days after your procedure.
Plastic Surgery Queensland advocates the National Law and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) guidelines that any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
