ABOUT emma
Emma is a dedicated nursing professional with a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Griffith University, which she proudly earned in 2012. With over a decade of experience in the healthcare field, she's had the privilege of working in some of the most challenging and rewarding environments, all of which have shaped her into the nurse she is today.
In addition to her nursing qualifications, Emma holds a Diploma in Beauty Therapy, which she completed in 2005. This background has allowed her to provide comprehensive care, including a holistic approach to patient well-being and beauty aspects in her nursing practice.
Emma's nursing journey began at Mater Private Hospital, where she spent six years honing her skills and expertise on the Plastic and Reconstruction Ward. During this time, she had the opportunity to care for patients in their most vulnerable moments, witnessing incredible transformations and offering unwavering support throughout their journeys.
In 2018, Emma embarked on a new chapter in her career when she joined the esteemed team at Plastic Surgery Queensland. This role has allowed her to expand her knowledge and contribute to the field of plastic surgery, with a particular focus on breast reconstruction for breast cancer patients. Emma is deeply passionate about helping breast cancer survivors regain their confidence and sense of self through reconstructive procedures.
Furthermore, in 2021, Emma completed her Cosmetic injectables training, enhancing her skills and knowledge in the realm of non-surgical cosmetic procedures, further enabling her to provide a comprehensive range of services to her patients.
As a nurse, her commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care is unwavering. She firmly believes that every individual deserves the highest level of support, empathy, and expertise throughout their healthcare experience. Emma is dedicated to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in nursing and plastic surgery. She achieves this by attending both surgical and non-surgical conferences to remain at the forefront of her field.
