FOUR LOCATIONS ONE EXPERIENCED TEAM

COSMETIC AESTHETIC CONSULTATIONS

Our Gold Coast clinic provides consultations regarding age-related facial changes. During these consultations, we discuss various treatment modalities that may address changes in facial structure and skin quality. Our treatments are administered by Dr Michael Stapelberg or an experienced Registered Nurse under the clinical supervision of our Specialist Plastic Surgeons.

The Natural Ageing Process

Following the Therapeutic Goods Administration's (TGA) updated advertising guidelines that came into effect on 7 March 2024, our Burleigh clinic on the Gold Coast has adapted how we communicate about non-surgical cosmetic treatments.

These new regulations prevent healthcare providers from using specific terminology like "anti-wrinkle injections" or "dermal fillers" in promotional materials, as these terms reference prescription medicines. Our practice now employs broader descriptive language, such as "wrinkle aesthetics" and "volume aesthetics".

The quality and effectiveness of our procedures at our Gold Coast location remain unchanged – only our communication approach has been modified to align with TGA compliance standards. You may observe these language adjustments across our Burleigh clinic's website, social platforms, and appointment booking interface. These changes support the TGA's mission to enhance patient protection and treatment transparency.

Face Mapping - PSQ Gold Coast

Contouring, Volume & Wrinkle Treatments

At PSQ, our experienced medical practitioners provide individualised treatments designed to address fine lines, volume loss, and facial contour. Dr Michael Stapelberg or Amanda, our Registered Aesthetic Nurse, will assess your skin and discuss the most suitable options for your specific goals. All treatments are performed in a professional clinical setting following a comprehensive consultation and assessment.

Wrinkle Treatments

This procedure uses precise doses of a prescription-only medication to temporarily relax targeted facial muscles. By reducing muscle activity, the treatment can smooth out lines and wrinkles that typically develop from repetitive facial expressions.

Appointment Details

Most sessions are completed within 30-45 minutes.

Downtime

You may experience minor swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, which generally resolves within a few days.

What May Happen

Results vary between individuals. While initial changes may be visible within several days, the full effect of the treatment is typically reached after 2 weeks.

Volume, Definition & Structure

Dr Michael Stapelberg and our Aesthetic Registered Nurse, Amanda, provide non-surgical aesthetic treatments to enhance facial structure and restore volume. Following a thorough consultation, procedures are tailored to your specific goals for areas such as the lips, jawline, chin, and mid-face, in line with clinical safety guidelines.

Appointment Details

Consultations and treatments typically take 45-60 minutes depending on the areas addressed.

Downtime

Minor swelling, redness, or bruising at the treatment site is common and generally subsides within 1 to 2 weeks. Any temporary textural irregularities typically resolve as the product integrates.

What May Happen

Individual results will vary based on your unique anatomy and the specific products used. While improvements in volume and definition are often visible shortly after the procedure, final results settle as swelling diminishes. The longevity of the treatment depends on personal factors and the type of product selected.
In this initial comprehensive session, our team will discuss your concerns and desired outcomes and review your medical history to tailor a personalised treatment plan. The deposit for your consultation is fully rebatable against any treatment provided on the same day.

Over time, skin loses collagen, elastin, and moisture, leading to lines such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. Our non-surgical treatments can help soften these lines for a refreshed look.
