ABOUT DR JEANNINE MCMANUS
Dr Jeannine McManus is a Queensland trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. After completing medical school at the University of Queensland, Jeannine went on to complete her medical residency at the Royal Brisbane and Princess Alexandra Hospitals.
Having moved to the Sunshine Coast with her young family, Jeannine accepted a position as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH), where her work benefits not only patient care but also teaching the next generation of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. She is the supervisor of training for the Plastic Surgery unit at SCUH.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Following a period of General Surgical training, she commenced her training in the competitive field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through Queensland’s public hospital system. Her training focused extensively on skin cancer resection and reconstruction, lower limb trauma reconstruction, reconstruction after head and neck cancer as well as breast surgery.
During her training time she was awarded The Mervyn Neely Memorial Award for Excellence in Surgical Teaching through the University Qld Medical School.She has also completed a Masters of Public Health through the University of Queensland and a Masters of Surgery through the University of Sydney.

Jeannine is accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). She consults privately on the Sunshine Coast through Coastal Plastic Surgery, with operating list availability at Buderim Private Hospital and Sunshine Coast Day Surgery. She has a natural rapport with her patients. She is compassionate and caring and takes the time to work together with her patients to achieve their best outcomes.
